treatments provided in teaching hostpitals of peshawar pakistan.

hey guys, i am a dental student currently doing my house job in Khyber college of dentistry Peshawar. I wanna share a little bit of my experience through the entire journey of my BDS (bachelor of dental surgery). after intermediate a premedical student has to pass an enterence test exams in which he has to qualify among 10.000 and over students for just 550 seats in our times. The entire cricket stadium (qayyum stadium) is booked for the test and a huge crowd gives the exam. Thank God i passed and qualified for a bds seat. A Bds student has to stay in medical college (Khyber medical college) for the first two years, for the basic sciences like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, in first year including dental material sciences whose classes are arranged in KCD. and pharmacology, pathology and Islamic/pk studies in their 2nd year. Remember a BDS student has to pass through intense discrimination from thier fellow medical students and even doctor teachers in medical college and continuesly reminded that u are no t part of this college and u don't belong here, u guys spend 4 years in 32 teeth that's stupid and various other indecent comments. So one has to be strong hearted and ignoring all such comments if he chooses dentistry as a profession in 3rd world country like pakistan. Our 3rd year subject includes general medicine and general surgery as a part of syllabus so one has to attend teaching medical hospitals for it, Khyber teaching hospital for general surgery and Hayatabad medical complex for general medicine . I was never so sorry for all the poor patients who were operated in operation theaters of KTH. Because besides medical students ward attendents even have to scroll around and check whats going on. I still remember a young girl who was 18-20 years of age and was operated for appendectomy. when she was brought to the theatre and anesthetized she was shaved of her pubic hair by a training medical officer a female in front of a huge crowd, who gave her thick pricks by blade and ward attendents stayed there to watch the entire surgery, it was our 3rd day at OT and i was so sorry for the poor girl as she was humiliated in front of such big crowd. and i prayed that God don't make such poor people and please don't make such poor ill and being humiliated in public. we saw many other surgeriers like this but the one i just mentioned was more distressful. our general medicine ward was much smoother and we were taught by a very well known, polite and well learned professor Dr noor wazir, who taught us every thing of our course and still thats in my mind.
than we came to final year bds which is in our college KCD.
